The Non Menu seeks to give the eater (you) creative agency over a meal, even when you did not prepare the food. The barcode menu, popularized during the COVID-era, acts as a means for you to participate with your own device and your own voice.
The items within this menu will allow you to think critically about your food without having to exert huge amounts of effort to prepare your food, a barrier for many in accessing the benefits of the “slow food movement.” Non-menu is a tool to be used at a range of tables, from Taco Bell to fine dining.
