The Anti Chop Salad
Researched and designed interactive elements about lingering, chewing the fat, and relishing moments with one another.
Anti Chop Salad (ACS) broadly considers the question “Why and how do we eat?” I interviewed farmers, chefs, nutritionists, writers, activists, experimental gastronomists, artists, and emergency food workers, giving me immeasurable insight into this question. Using my extensive experience in UX research, engineering, and the arts, I created a universe of seven anti-chop elements.
The Anti Chop Salad is an interactive body of work and also an ethos; an ethos of lingering, chewing the fat, and relishing moments with one another. For your consumption are a research analysis, a recipe zine, haptic tableware, an animated short, a playlist, a mind menu, and a reactive placemat. These pieces advocate for a return to joyful, unhurried eating.
