Advocacy App Prototype
Designed a digital platform concept that helps users discover and engage in local advocacy
Project: Rapid-Prototype Advocacy App
Role: Co-Designer
My collaborator, Vanessa, and I entered the Adobe Creative Jam to strengthen our rapid-prototyping skills. In this 72-hour sprint, we designed a digital platform concept that helps users discover and engage in local advocacy

We set out to design an app that was practical for organizers and approachable for first-time volunteers. Our concept centered around equity, accessibility, and localization. Uplifting grassroots organizations is the foundation for All Hands, an interactive tool that connects people with local opportunities to learn, participate, and bring others along.

A use case that showcased each feature of the application
Each of our features fell into line with our guiding principles: equity, adaptability, localization, and accessibility.
Equitable
Organizers are the ones leading the platform, and it shows. By designing a tool that gives agency to the folks who are leading, we are making digital advocacy an equitable space for organizers and individuals alike.

Organizers and individuals will help cultivate a living history that is accurate and spoken by the voices in the movement.
Adaptable
The app is based entirely on organizer needs, so it’s responsive to the issues that are happening in our lives right now.

Pins are designed to make searching and accepting an advocacy opportunity fun and empowering. It's easy for you to change how and what you want to get involved in.
Localized

See how you’ve been involved with helpful stats. These impact metrics are only for you to see, bringing attention and focus to the movements themselves.
Our app is specifically designed to promote smaller, grassroots orgs. Using the Map feature, you’ll be able to find people near you who care about the same things.
Accessible

Getting involved can be daunting at first if you have questions that seem too basic or if you’re not sure where to start. The Resource section features personalized ways for you to learn about the causes you’re passionate about.
See what opportunities your friends are checking out or invite them to participate in events with you. The world is a little less scary when you have friends around you who’ll help you succeed.
